Closed down for Christmas

We are taking a break and will be closed for business from the 24th of December 2011 until the 16th of January 2012.

A merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.

Richard and Anne.

Lunar Eclipse

I took a trip out to Mundaring Weir the other night to photograph the lunar eclipse.
What I wanted was a series of exposures of the landscape with the moon arcing across the sky as the eclipse progressed.
As often happens it didn't go quite to plan.

Augusta April 2011

Recently we spent a few days at Augusta in the South West region of Western Australia. Although the weather was not the best for camping it was very good for photography. We managed to capture a few images - some of which I particularly like. I will post asome of them below as I have time to process them.

Possum Rescue!

Sometimes when I am are hiking through the bush I come across stuff that really upsets me. Usually it's the garbage that thoughtless people dump that gets me annoyed, especially old car bodies and unwanted household furniture.

Site Updates - more

If you are looking for our image galleries, note that at the moment there are three places to browse:

www.westernlandscapes.com.au/image for some images, and
www.westernlandscapes.com.au/clients for event photgraphy (weddings etc.), and
www.westernlandscapes.com.au/stock for the rest.

We are currently modifying our website, consolidating our images, moving our event photography to a new sub-site,
and moving our stock images to OzImages.

So in the near future - this site will host only Richard's large format monochrome images, as well as event photography.

Walpole January 2011

Our recent trip to the South West didn't result in as much photography as I had planned but we had a relaxing time. I will publish a few images below, over the next few weeks, as I have time to process them.

Christmas Shutdown

We will be closing our printing services for the Christmas period on the 1st of December and reopening on the 18th of January 2011.
It has been an extremely busy year for our printing services and we now have orders in the queue which will take us up to Christmas.

During the first two weeks of January we will be driving into the south west of the state for some photography - which will be a nice change as time for photography has been pretty sparse lately.

Happy Christmas and new year to all.
