Gaol, Lynton Convict Depot, Port Gregory

The convict hiring depot was established in 1853 to supply labour to the Geraldine Lead Mine. It was closed in 1856 due to harsh living conditions and transport problems. This image was shows the gaol. The walls on the left separate three prison cells.
